The Centre for the Living Arts is proud to present indie rock and pop bands Family of the Year and White Arrows at Live @ Space, a live music concert series at Space 301 on Wednesday, October 10 at 8 pm.

With a Cali-folk sound reminiscent of the groups Mumford & Sons and Grouplove, FOTY will perform tracks from their newest album Loma Vista.  The band recently opened for Ben Folds in Boston, MA after competing against 700 other hopeful groups for the coveted title. FOTY also previously opened for Gomez, Mumford & Sons and Belle Brigade.

 

 

White Arrows uses a unique combination of synth pop and global groove to influence all aspects of their music. Work from their album Dry Land is not a Myth or their remixed version of City Boy in the Australian Hyundai IX35 commercial demonstrates how their audio and visual worlds easily meld into one.

 

As part of The Memory Project, the CLA’s nine-month project of the visual and performing arts, both bands will participate in a post-performance presentation linking their music to the theme of memory.
